My name is Tom Mildren and I am the owner and operator of Basement Specialist, previously Tom Mildren Contracting.
Since 1985, our company has specialized in basement waterproofing, foundation repairs and new basement foundation construction in the Hamilton and Burlington area.
Our company is owned and operated by myself, Tom Mildren, a college-trained certified master builder with 36 years experience. We are not a franchise. We believe that keeping our business local and community-based allows our customers to deal directly with the owner, and provides flexibility and peace of mind that we are just next-door when you call.
At Basement Specialist, we are licensed, insured, WSIB and Ontario Building Code compliant. This ensures that all of our projects are completed using safe and trusted techniques, and gives our customers peace of mind that their basements are both waterproof and structurally sound.
We also offer free estimates, and all of our work is backed by a 25-year transferable warranty.
My number is 905-570-4916. Please call me to discuss your commercial or residential project. I’ll be glad to visit with you.
Thanks for the dry basement, Tom. All the flooding the other day in the city made me realize that you did a great job at my house.
I appreciate the work done on my basement, and wish to thank you and your men. It was a pleasure to meet Mel and Rick, and I want to thank them for a job well done. If I need any service in the future, I will be sure to call.
“Thank you for the professionalism you displayed in the completion of the job. I’ve been very fortunate in having understanding tenants who stuck with me during this basement problem, but they really had put up with enough. Therefore, it was a relief to hear of their satisfaction with the manner in which you conducted your activities.”
“I just wanted to tell you how hard-working, professional, and knowledgeable that Dave and Travis were. Bob and I were very impressed at their work ethic. They’re hard workers for sure, and a credit to your business!”
“Thank you and your men for another job well done.”
“I didn’t get a chance to thank you and your crew for the great job you did. There haven’t been any leaks so far (of course)!”
